About This Festival
The rustic charm of Georgia's premier wine gathering continues to draw thousands of enthusiasts to the Paulk Vineyards grounds in Wray. The South Georgia Wine Festival features over 40 local wineries, including notable producers like Still Pond Vineyards, Horse Creek Winery, and Farmers Daughter Vineyards. Festival goers sample an array of muscadine wines, fruit wines, and traditional grape varietals while enjoying gourmet food pairings from local food trucks serving everything from artisanal cheese boards to smoked barbecue. Live entertainment fills the air throughout the day with performances by regional bluegrass bands The Honeysuckle Drifters and Southern Pine, along with acoustic guitarist Mark Mitchell. The festival's signature offering includes guided wine education sessions in the historic barn, where master vintners teach the basics of wine tasting and production methods. Over 3,500 attendees spread across the sprawling 20-acre venue to enjoy specialty vendors selling wine-themed artwork, handcrafted jewelry, and artisan foods like local honey, specialty nuts, and homemade jams.
