About This Festival
The annual Michigan celebration of fine spirits brings together over 40 local and international vendors at the Royal Oak Farmers Market. Attendees can sample from more than 200 varieties of whiskey, bourbon, scotch, and wines while enjoying gourmet food pairings from area restaurants like Lily's Seafood and Lockhart's BBQ. Live jazz performances by the Marcus Elliot Quartet and Paul Keller Ensemble provide a sophisticated backdrop for the tastings. Notable distilleries including Maker's Mark, Glenmorangie, and Michigan's own Two James Spirits offer guided tastings and education sessions on their craft. Local sommeliers lead wine appreciation workshops featuring selections from prominent vineyards across California, France, and Italy. The festival features a unique Scotch-and-chocolate pairing experience, a custom engraving station for purchased bottles, and a silent auction of rare spirits benefiting the Royal Oak Historical Society. These events not only showcase the culinary diversity of the state, but also creates unforgettable experiences for those who appreciate the art of great food and drink. Fort Worth TX
