About This Festival
One of the Southwest's premier wine celebrations takes place annually in Albuquerque, drawing wine enthusiasts from across the region. The New Mexico Wine Festival, hosted at Balloon Fiesta Park, typically attracts over 10,000 attendees who sample wines from approximately 200 local wineries including St. Clair, Casa Rondeña, and Lescombes Family Vineyards. Local food vendors serve traditional New Mexican cuisine like red chile pork, fry bread tacos, and fresh roasted corn, while artisans display their crafts in over 50 vendor booths. Live entertainment features regional acts like Al Hurricane Jr., Str8 Shot, and The Bus Tapes performing on the main stage. The festival showcases unique offerings including guided wine tastings, food and wine pairing workshops, and a VIP lounge with exclusive wine selections. The expansive park setting offers stunning views of the Sandia Mountains while guests explore the grounds, with cooling stations and shaded seating areas providing comfort during the late summer event.
