The story
About this festival.
Auburn Wine, Ale and Food Festival is a sip-and-stroll through Historic Old Town and Downtown Auburn, California, on Saturday, October 10, 2026, with wine, beer, cider and small bites from about 25 Sierra Foothills wineries, breweries and restaurants poured inside shops and businesses along the route. General admission runs 1 to 5 PM at $65 early bird through September 17 and $75 after; VIP is $125, limited to 50 tickets, and opens at noon with a speakeasy-style library wine tasting at the members-only Tahoe Club before joining the stroll.
The festival is run by the Placer County Vintners Association, and the point is that Auburn itself is the venue: you wander between tasting stops, a shuttle links the two districts, and nobody is expected to hit every location. Auburn is the Placer County seat in the Gold Country foothills, 35 miles northeast of Sacramento on I-80, at the southern end of the Placer wine trail.
