About this festival.
Downtown Champaign Wine Walk is the Champaign Center Partnership's annual sip-and-stroll through the shops of downtown Champaign, Illinois, presented by Royse + Brinkmeyer Apartments; the sixth annual edition, themed Wines of the World, was Saturday, May 30, 2026. Tickets were $40. The wines are curated by two downtown bars, Punch! Bar & Lounge and Big Grove Tavern, with each stop pouring a wine from a different region.
Ticket holders collect a tasting cup and a map and move between participating businesses at their own pace, which is the point: the walk is as much a tour of downtown's shops as a tasting. Champaign is two hours south of Chicago on I-57, and the walkable downtown sits a few blocks west of the University of Illinois campus.
