Winefest Des Moines Grand Tasting is the signature event of Winefest Des Moines, held Friday, September 18, 2026, inside the Historic City Hall in downtown Des Moines, Iowa. The 2026 edition moves to this new venue with a walk-around format: an international collection of wines poured alongside bites from central Iowa's better-known chefs and restaurants, with interactive experiences spread through the building. General admission is $110 and VIP is $170.
VIP guests start with a reception on the veranda from 5 to 6 PM overlooking the Des Moines River and downtown, then move inside to a separate tasting tier with premium wines, additional food and its own entertainment. The event is 21 and over. Historic City Hall sits on the east bank of the river at the edge of the East Village, walkable from most downtown hotels.
