The story
About this festival.
The 2026 Hudson Valley Wine & Food Festival is an annual food and wine festival held each September in Rhinebeck, New York — marking its 25th edition on September 12–13, 2026, at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds. The 2-day event runs Saturday from 11 AM to 6 PM and Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM, with VIP tickets priced at $145 and a designated driver option available for $10. GA pricing is to be announced. The festival draws thousands of attendees across both days and features over 300 vendors spanning wineries, distilleries, cideries, breweries, gourmet food trucks, and artisan specialty food producers.
The 2026 Hudson Valley Wine & Food Festival is one of New York's longest-running food and wine showcases, now in its 25th year, with a vendor lineup that includes more than 200 exhibitors offering tastings across wine, spirits, craft beer, and hard cider. Wineries represented include Millbrook Vineyards & Winery, Warwick Valley Winery, Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards, Keuka Spring Vineyards, and Tuthilltown Spirits, among many others from across New York State. A dedicated New York craft beer pavilion anchors one section of the fairgrounds, while a demo stage hosts cooking demonstrations from professional chefs and mixologist presentations throughout each day. Live music runs across the weekend. A purchase storage and pickup system allows attendees to buy bottles of wine, spirits, or beer and collect them at a single convenient location at the end of their visit — a practical feature for a multi-hour event.
Food is not included in the admission price, but gourmet specialty food vendors frequently offer complimentary samples. Full meals are available from food trucks and concessions on site. Children 12 and under are admitted free, though the event is adult-focused and organizers note that buildings can become crowded at peak hours. No coolers are permitted, and the event is held rain or shine. The Dutchess County Fairgrounds at 6636 US-9, Rhinebeck, NY is handicap accessible. No pets are allowed on the festival grounds.
The Hudson Valley is one of New York's most established wine regions, with vineyards benefiting from the region's fertile farmland, river-moderated climate, and long growing season. Producers from the Hudson River Region AVA — including several on the 2026 vendor list — work with varieties such as Cabernet Franc, Riesling, and hybrid grapes suited to the Northeast's climate. The festival's timing, the weekend after Labor Day, captures the final weeks of summer as harvest season begins across the valley.
