The story
About this festival.
Naples Grape Festival is an annual harvest festival held each September in Naples, New York, in the Finger Lakes region — a 2-day outdoor event running from 10 am to 5 pm, rain or shine, with wine tastings, live music, arts and crafts, and the celebrated Naples Greatest Grape Pie Contest. The 2026 edition is scheduled for September 26 and 27.
The festival centers on the Brahm Moore Beverage Garden, where producers of wines, craft beers, ciders, and distilleries offer tastings and bottle sales. The Naples Greatest Grape Pie Contest draws competitive bakers each Saturday, with judging beginning at noon — and entry applications are available on the festival's downloads page. Beyond the beverage garden, the grounds include a large variety of food vendors, arts and crafts vendors, and corporate exhibitors covering categories from home improvement to electric vehicle charging stations. Live music performs under an open tent at the rear of Memorial Town Hall, with seating available. The Naples Grape Festival is operated by the Naples Grape and Arts Festival LLC under the Naples NY Rotary Club, with all profits split evenly between the Naples Historical Society and the Naples NY Rotary Club.
The festival is held across Memorial Town Hall and Naples High School grounds in the Village of Naples. Parking is available at a large lot on the grounds of Hazlitt 1852 Winery at the corner of North Main Street and Niagara Lane for a $5.00 per car fee, with additional parking at nearby businesses, churches, and side streets. Limited handicap parking is available at Naples High School off Academy Street with proper tags. Two ATMs are on site — one at Town Hall, one near the High School crosswalk — though the festival advises arriving with cash, as machines can run low during peak attendance. Dogs are not permitted except for identified service animals.
Naples sits in the southern Finger Lakes, a region known for cool-climate varieties including Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Concord grapes — the last of which underpins the area's grape pie tradition. Hazlitt Red Cat Cellars and Arbor Hill Winery & Grapery, both based in Naples, appear among the festival's sponsors, reflecting the town's deep connection to local viticulture.
