The story
About this festival.
Taste of Pennsylvania is a grand tasting wine festival held annually on May 9, 2026, at the York Memorial Park Complex in York, Pennsylvania — featuring approximately 17 Pennsylvania wineries across open, grassy fields with food trucks, vendors, and room to spread out. Tickets are available online only, with early bird pricing saving up to 40% for the first 100 GA and 10 VIP purchasers on March 14 at 1 PM, and a $5 discount available to most buyers who purchase more than a week in advance.
Organized by CrocodileDog Marketing, Taste of Pennsylvania takes place at its new York Memorial Park Complex location — a deliberate move to a wider, tree-lined outdoor setting after previous editions. The format is self-guided: attendees sample wines from around 17 Pennsylvania wineries at their own pace, with the option to buy by the glass, order a bottle to enjoy on the grass, sip a wine slushie, or purchase a full case for pickup on the way out. Beyond wine, additional beverages are on hand for variety, and an expanded food truck lineup replaces the more limited options of past years.
Guests are permitted to bring their own food and non-alcoholic drinks, which is a notable policy change made possible by the new venue. The organizers suggest arriving 30 minutes before your session to allow time for ID checks and wristbanding. Tickets are presale only and will not be sold at the door. Limited seating is provided on-site, so bringing lawn chairs is encouraged. All guests over 16 require a ticket; children are welcome but remain the responsibility of accompanying adults. The event runs rain or shine.
Pennsylvania has a growing wine industry spanning multiple AVAs, including the Lehigh Valley and Lake Erie regions, with producers working in varieties such as Chambourcin, Vidal Blanc, and Cabernet Franc. Taste of Pennsylvania specifically spotlights in-state producers, making it a practical way to survey the breadth of Pennsylvania's current winery landscape in a single afternoon.
